02 — AI short-form video

Clipperzz

An AI platform that finds the moments worth sharing in long-form video — and turns them into short clips.

The challenge

Hours of footage. Seconds of attention.

Short-form platforms reward tight, high-impact clips — but finding them in long recordings by hand is slow, repetitive work.

Clipperzz automates the search: transcribe the video, score the moments, generate the clips.

The approach

Three services, one job each.

  1. 01

    Web app

A React app with three faces: a public landing page, a dashboard for creators and an admin panel.

  2. 02

    REST API

An Express API that owns accounts and money — auth, clips, processing jobs, subscriptions and payments.

  3. 03

    Model service

A dedicated AI/ML service for the heavy lifting: video transcription, clip scoring and generation.

The work

Three surfaces.

Illustrated layouts of the three Clipperzz surfaces: a landing page with a video preview, a creator dashboard with a grid of vertical clips, and an admin panel with statistics and a status table.

Interactive

Follow a video through the system.

Select a step, or use the arrow keys.

A creator pastes a video link or uploads a file. The API checks who they are and opens a processing job.

The job is handed to the model service, which transcribes the video.

The model service scores candidate moments to find the strongest clips.

Clips are generated from the top-scoring moments and handed back to the API.

The API stores the clips and they appear in the creator's dashboard. Subscriptions and payments run through the same API.

A simplified flow, based on what each service is responsible for.

The outcome

Heavy work, kept separate.

The AI workload runs in its own service, away from the API that handles accounts and payments.

  • React web app — landing page, creator dashboard, admin panel
  • Express REST API — auth, clips, jobs, subscriptions, payments
  • AI/ML model service — transcription, clip scoring, generation
